I am big fan of even numbers… I liked even numbers because even when we divide even numbers we get equal numbers. I liked getting whole equal numbers. I liked two siblings getting equal things.
I liked it when in a competition each competitor gets equal share and no one gets more or less… Every time I climbed my house stairs I liked the stairs which were even in number so that I could put both the left and right foot forward in equal steps… Equality in things used to make me smile…
My birthdate is even and I used to feel so good every time on my birthday just for this reason…
In fact I was never so fascinated by the ‘Number 1’ than I was with the ‘Number 2’… Although kids always like to be ‘No. 1’ in things I used to get happy seeing even numbers in front of me.. It reminds me of fairness, equality, unselfishness and all the good things in life…
Until I became adolescent and started my college life everything in my life was even… I felt so blessed with that… But not very late I realised life is not about all evens… It has odds also..
Infact I realised there are more odds than evens in life. Even numbers add up to an even number but I now realised that 2 odds also make even.. I started seeing the struggles in my life, the difficulties in various phases of life… I used to get irritated at unfairness around, inequalities amongst people, selfishness etc etc… Got worried about the odd things in life… My life started moving in sinusoidal waves and there were always odd number of them… Success and failure in small things was now everyday game… One smile always brought a tear with it… Slowly I started learning odd things are not always bad… In fact it is these odd things that make us realised we have to always find 2 odds to make things even…
Now I realize there is not much good about even and not so bad about odd things.. Life is full of odd and even.. and there is no harm in accepting the fact…. Odds show us the highs and lows of life.. different colors of life. I now see a different pleasure in having odd things…. I realised Red color does not always give pleasure because if roses are red even blood is red… Black is not always bad since if black means darkness then black is also used to remove the evil eye (buri nazar se bachana )
Life is full of odds and evens, lets enjoy both of them equally and things definitely become easy…
I am now in a phase where I face odds almost everyday but after a long number of odds when I get one even I smile to my fullest.. It gives a lot of pleasure… I started accepting odds and have fun at evens… I started living life… I started enjoying all phases of life…
Life is Good… Even or Odd its upto us to make things even

Very well expressed Anjana, liked the way you have put your thoughts. Yeah somehow all of us like even numbers so much that we forget that it has its existence because of odds. I also like symmetry a lot, in fact I almost always count (whether it is stairs, columns or the grill-rods). But in these cases when i get odd, i feel happy because i obtain equal entities on either side of the pivot. An odd has existence because it is flanked by two evens.

Chalo, good that you started accepting both, slowly and gradually when you would start accepting them, without even knowing if they are odd or even, or say they are numbers.. then you will reach the "sambhav" where every thing is equal..no good.. no bad..just equal..
Without the presence of "odd" the "even" wouldn't have it's uniqueness. If we don't go through darkness we would never appreciate the light. Interesting though, ODD and EVEN are always separated by 1. As much as I know you, you have that 1 (smile) to turn your odds into even.

in this uneven world the odds of one's survival is higher if one is evenly comfortable with the odds and the evens and it's rather odd to think that odds and evens are at odds with each other, even if it is one's very private thought. the oddity of evenness is what makes it an interesting world where the fun of uncovering the even in an apparent odd arrangement is immense.
@freemind: Wow Wow.... I need some time to properly understand this... and evens of this understanding is really odd... Lol!!!
